Humaira's Family
$26,430.00
Humaira is a prominent women's rights leader and advocate for civic education. When the Taliban began targeting women who organized communities, she received direct threats. Her advocacy led to an arrest order; she fled Kabul, then Kapisa, and eventually crossed into Pakistan.
In exile, the family is in survival mode. With two small children and no income, they face ongoing discrimination and psychological strain. Their rented space is barely adequate for four people. Their
children cry frequently from hunger and fear. Both parents suffer from depression due to trauma and uncertainty.
The family urgently needs support to start a new chapter in Brazil and provide a peaceful, hopeful future for their children.
