Spread the word and share:

Following the devastating earthquake on Sunday, September 1, 2025, in eastern Afghanistan, the world has once again witnessed one of the deadliest human tragedies in recent years. The 6.0 magnitude quake leveled entire villages, and according to the United Nations, more than 800 people have lost their lives while over 2,500 have been injured. The actual toll is expected to rise as search and rescue operations continue.
Countless families have been left without homes or shelter. Women, children, and the elderly are enduring extremely harsh conditions, lacking access to safe drinking water, food, medicine, and emergency shelter. Blocked roads and damaged infrastructure are slowing down aid delivery.

Food for Thought Afghanistan is working with partners on the ground in the impacted areas. Your donation will allow us to distribute food, water, blankets and supplies, and provide other basic needs for survivors that otherwise will not be met.

Today, more than ever, the people of Afghanistan need global solidarity. Together, we can ensure that no child goes to sleep hungry or without shelter, even in the midst of tragedy.
